NAME ORIGIN:

"Jasper" was named after the chalcedony mineral and the Jasper National Park in Canada.

Jasper was born in England and then imported to the Netherlands (and, subsequently, Croatia). He is my first Tamaskan and I got him as a pup at the age of 8 weeks old. When he was 7 weeks old, he was photographed for "Dogs Today" Magazine. When he was 7 months old, he was featured on the "Pick Of The Litter" blog. In summer 2009, I hitchhiked across Europe (from Zagreb to The Hague) with only Jasper for company. I felt very safe with him by my side and he saved me from several dangerous situations during the journey. He is a wonderful dog and highly intelligent; sometimes too clever for his own good! He can be somewhat boisterous and goofy at times but he also has a very gentle side.
